Wilderness first responder certification in Costa Rica
This course covers the usual Wilderness first responder curriculum offered by many outdoors organizations. You'll learn about injury and illness prevention, patient assessment, long term injury management, improvised splint and litter construction, environmental emergencies, as well as American Heart's Association's CPR for the professional rescuer certification.
All this while staying in a farm in the beautiful community of Mastatal in the jungle of Costa Rica, allowing the students to have a unique learning experience in site in one of the most amazing places of the world.
Total price includes food and accommodation in the farm's bunkhouse.

This course include in class lecture and practical work.
It will be taught in English, and imparted by Aeri background medicine, a medical organization specialized in providing wilderness and front-country medical training to over 2,000 students yearly in the USA, Mexico and central America. Their courses are taught to members of the Student Conservation Association, the US National Park Service, the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Missoula Backcountry Horsemen Association, and others.
